Automation Pipelines
Pipelines are automated workflows that process your thoughts in bulk. They can summarize, tag, research, and deliver results — all without manual work.
Creating a Pipeline
Section titled “Creating a Pipeline”- Go to the Pipelines view
- Tap New Pipeline
- Choose a category to process (e.g., Ideas, Notes)
- Select an action (see below)
- Configure scheduling and delivery
- Save and activate
Pipeline Actions
Section titled “Pipeline Actions”| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Summarize | AI generates a summary of all thoughts in the category |
| Auto-tag | Automatically assigns tags to untagged thoughts |
| Digest | Creates a formatted digest of recent thoughts |
| Custom AI | Runs your own custom prompt against matching thoughts |
| Research Digest | Answers research questions using your thoughts as context |
| Kindle Export | Exports matching thoughts to your Kindle device |
Custom AI Prompts
Section titled “Custom AI Prompts”The Custom AI action is the most flexible. Write any prompt and it runs against your thoughts:
- “Extract all action items and list them by priority”
- “Find contradictions in my thinking this week”
- “Summarize themes across my ideas this month”
Scheduling
Section titled “Scheduling”Pipelines can run on various schedules:

| Manual | Only when you tap “Run Now” |
| On categorization | Every time a thought is categorized (auto-trigger) |
| Daily (9 AM) | Every morning |
| Daily (6 PM) | Every evening |
| Weekdays | Monday through Friday |
| Weekly | Once per week |
| Monthly | Once per month |
Time Window
Section titled “Time Window”Each pipeline has a lookback window that determines how far back it looks for thoughts:

Delivery Options
Section titled “Delivery Options”Choose how pipeline results are delivered:
- In-app — results appear in the Pipelines view
- Email — delivered to your email
- Kindle — sent to your Kindle device
- Both — in-app and email
Run History
Section titled “Run History”Each pipeline keeps a history of past runs showing:
- When it ran
- How many thoughts were processed
- The result or output
- Success/failure status
- Start with a Digest — the easiest way to see pipelines in action
- Use Custom AI for domain-specific analysis
- Set a daily summary for your busiest category
- Use the 7-day window for weekly reviews
- Combine with auto-categorization — let AI sort thoughts, then pipelines process each category
